Hey, everybody! It's been a while since I last wrote a blog. I apologize and can assure you that I will have more Minor League and SemiPro Hockey talk and reactions coming soon!
On a quick note, the New York Rangers acquired Rick Nash today for Tim Erixon, Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, and 2013 NYR 1st Round Draft Pick. Good deal on both ends, as Nash provides Rangers with offense for their Stanley Cup Run and the three players and pick going to Columbus will help with their nth rebuild. Also, Kris Versteeg resigned with the Florida Panthers to avoid arbitration for four years.
I am here to talk about one of the best, new, and upcoming sports talk show to hit the American East Coast- "Sports Talk with Andrew and Chris."
You might be visiting their Facebook page and thinking, "Great! Another sports show hosted by two college kids on some college radio station talking about what everyone else is blabbering about and agreeing with them." Not to sound rude to those who think this way, but you are completely wrong with that logic.
Hosts Andrew Bern and Chris Gonzalez have been very good friends of mine for a long time. Whenever we chill with one another, we get into in-depth conversations about sports: trades, scandals, injuries, wins and losses, etc. When I tell you these guys know their stuff, they know their stuff. Andrew and Chris' abilities to analyze an athletic happening logically and formulate their own opinions not congruent with mainstream thinking make you more engaged with their conversations and allow you to question the ideas of others, and yourself, guilt free. Very rarely do you see people like these two speak out their minds in a fun and professional manner.
If you don't believe me, listen live every Monday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm EST on 90.5 FM Brookdale Public Radio and hear for yourself. They cover everything in the National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, National Football League, National Basketball Association, and college sports.
